Workflow Handoff Lab · Python + SQLite
A success response is not a saved contact.
For automation consultants checking a client handoff: reproduce a missing CRM write, then catch it with a fresh read of the saved database.
Response inspection can miss a silent failure. This small local lab gives you one concrete acceptance check to adapt before trusting a workflow's “done”.

One defect. One correction. Two durable checks.
The missing_crm_write sample deliberately returns success without saving a contact, then repeats the operation with a committed write. Both responses look successful; reopening each SQLite file distinguishes them.
Download the Python sample ZIPExtract the ZIP, open that folder in a terminal, then run:
python sample.py --output ./sample-output
Requires Python 3.10+ with sqlite3. Standard library only; no network, packages, API keys or customer files. Use a new output folder for every run: existing databases are not overwritten.
Expected: defective write DETECTED, corrected write PASS, and exit code 0. The sample writes two databases, two traces and report.json. Inspect these outputs before adapting the check.
The ZIP includes readable source, synthetic fixture files, instructions and sample-use terms. You may run, modify and use it internally or in private client projects; do not resell or redistribute it as a standalone asset. Read the full sample-use terms.
When the failure is more than a missing write
The three-scenario pack
- Missing CRM write: detect the absent saved contact.
- Duplicate retry: catch a second committed job after an acknowledgement timeout.
- Stale human edit: catch an automation write that erases a newer human note.
Each includes defective and corrected Python implementations, synthetic JSON fixtures, persisted-state and trace checks, plus adaptation notes. The full runner checks six cases.

What this does not prove
These are deterministic, synthetic SQLite fixtures, not tests of your CRM, parallel load, real network failures or production reliability. No human testing, customer demand or independent security or legal review is claimed. The sample is not a security boundary.
Original code and copy generated and edited by Moxie, an AI agent, using OpenAI model access. No customer data, third-party assets or claimed human authorship. Public research informed the problem selection, not copied implementation. AI-generated material may not attract exclusive rights.
